i’m eve & this is cross + wise

Colourful, quirky and occasionally offensive stationery, designed and made by me in Winchester, UK.

Cross + Wise is all about the little things that make you smile, funny greeting cards for special occasions,  rude stickers to give boring things a personality + badges to spice up a tote bag or jacket.

I'm looking for lovely independent shops who'd like to give Cross + Wise a space in their independent shop. 

I've worked with independent businesses for over 10 years, so I know what it's like to be on the other side of a wholesale order. Minimum orders, quantities, shipping costs, tying up money in stock and worrying whether it'll actually sell.

And then there's the big one:

How do you know you'll even like the quality before you've committed to a lot of it?

So when I started offering Cross + Wise wholesale, I wanted to do things differently.

I've tried to make it easy, affordable and as low-risk as possible for other small businesses to give my products a go.

Because I've been the little business placing the order too. 

Why stock 

Cross + Wise?

When you buy from Cross + Wise, you're not just supporting my tiny dream; you're also supporting the other independent businesses I buy my materials from.

I'm a big believer in keeping things small and thoughtful. I make everything myself, and wherever I can, I choose materials and packaging with the planet in mind.

conscious materials

My cards are printed on Eco Fleck FSC recycled card, with a lovely natural texture and recycled fibres. All paired with a recycled envelope.

And plastic sleeves? Not Here.

Plastic-free packaging

I keep my packaging simple. Only what it needs to get to you. 

All orders are packed using cardboard packaging and tissue paper, without unnecessary plastic.

A SECOND CHANCE

I search the internet for second-hand badge-making supplies, I often find blanks from people who bought the wrong size or decided to give up the craft altogether. I get to give them another life.

Wholesale without the scary bit!

Ordering stock is a gamble when you're an independent business.

You don't want to spend a lot of money on one design, only to discover that your customers aren't quite as obsessed with it as you are.

So I've deliberately kept Cross + Wise wholesale small-business friendly.

No minimum order

There's no scary minimum spend.

You can start small, try a few different products and see what your customers like before committing to more.

Small packs

I've kept my pack sizes small too, so you can offer a wider range without buying loads of the same thing.

Greeting cards: set of 4
Christmas cards: set of 2
Stickers: set of 2
Badges: set of 2

The smaller sets are especially useful for stickers and badges; you can try lots of different designs without filling a drawer with 25 of the same one.

Basically, I'd rather help you build a range that works for your customers than persuade you to buy a mountain of stock.

What if it doesn't sell?

This is something I've thought about quite a lot.

I know that a design can fly off the shelves in one shop and barely get a second glance in another. Different towns, different customers, different tastes- that's just how retail works.

So if you've got Cross + Wise stock that's been sitting around for a while and just isn't shifting, let me know.

If the stock is still undamaged and in a sellable condition, I'll swap it for some fresh designs with your next order.

I'll even provide a return postage label, so you can send the slower-moving stock back to me.

How it works:

1. Tell me what's not selling.
2. Choose different designs
3. I'll include a return postage label. In your next order.
4. Send the original stock back.
5. Your shelves get a refresh. 

I can't promise that every single design will be a bestseller — nobody can!

But I can promise that I'm willing to work with you to find the things that do work for your customers.

Stock swap applies to undamaged, clean and sellable stock. Full terms apply.

Now you're fully informed. Please fill out a very simple Stockist Request Form below. Once you've completed it, I'll grant you access. You'll receive an email with a link to create your account! Once you're logged in, you'll see the website, but with the wholesale prices. Simply add items to the basket and check out. I'll handle the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Stock Swapping

Stock swaps are available on eligible standard stock only. Christmas/seasonal stock is excluded.

To be eligible for a swap:

  • The stock must have been purchased at least 3 months ago.
  • It must have been given a fair chance to sell — this means being displayed on the shop floor, in a clean, organised and clearly visible area.
  • Products should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from anything that could cause damage.
  • Stock must be returned in perfectly clean, undamaged and saleable condition. This includes no water damage, sun fading, creasing, tears, marks or other damage.
  • The products must have been included in at least one relevant promotion, such as a social media post, story or other promotional activity, to help give them a chance to reach your customers.
  • Swapped stock must be returned using the return postage label provided by Cross + Wise.
  • Replacement designs will be chosen in discussion with the retailer and will be subject to availability.

The aim isn't to make you jump through hoops — it's simply to make sure we've both given the products a proper chance before deciding they're not quite right for your customers.

If something isn't shifting, please get in touch rather than leaving it sitting on the shelf. I'm much happier helping you refresh your range than letting perfectly good stickers or cards gather dust! 

Cross + Wise reserves the right to refuse a stock swap where the above conditions have not been met.
When will I get my order?

I'll aim to work as quickly as I can, and I aim to ship within 3 days. During busy times it may be longer. If I need to put a wait time on orders, I'll pop a banner at the top of the Stockist Hub page. 
How much does shipping cost?

Postage and packaging £2.50 Standard Delivery and FREE on orders over £25, 
What if my order arrives damaged?

Oh no! 

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or isn't quite what you ordered, please get in touch within 24 hours of receiving your order and send me a few photos so I can see what's happened.

I'll then work with you to put it right, whether that's replacing the damaged or incorrect items, sending anything that was missing, or finding another suitable solution.

Please don't return anything without getting in touch first, as I'll let you know what to do and whether a return is needed.

Please note: damage that happens after delivery, such as water damage, sun damage, tears, creasing or general wear and tear, isn't covered by this policy and may also make stock ineligible for a stock swap.
What if I change my mind about some stock?

Wholesale orders aren't generally returnable simply because a design hasn't worked for your shop.

That's exactly why I've kept the initial order sizes small and don't have a minimum order — you can try a few different designs without committing to a mountain of stock.

If something genuinely isn't selling, that's where the Cross + Wise Stock Swap comes in. If your stock meets the swap conditions, I'll happily work with you to give your range a refresh. 
Do you offer sale or return?

Yes! I know that trying a new independent brand can feel like a bit of a gamble, so I can offer Sale or Return by prior agreement to selected stockists.

Because Sale or Return involves keeping track of stock and payments, we'll agree the details in writing before any stock is supplied.

The agreement will cover things like:

  • Which products are being supplied
  • The quantity of stock provided
  • The agreed retail prices
  • How sales are reported
  • When payment is made
  • How unsold stock is returned
  • Who is responsible for return postage

Sale or Return stock is separate from standard wholesale stock and isn't eligible for the normal stock-swap scheme.

It's based on trust, communication and keeping accurate records — basically, I want this to work well for both of us.
Can I use your images for my website, social media and campaigns?

YES, in time I'll add a section for images etc.  You should be able to download the product images with just a right-click!
